Hi, I’m Sharlene

I am a qualified Educational consultant with extensive experience in kindergarten, primary and secondary school environments. Let me help your child reach their full potential.

My Background

I have comprehensive experience working with students who have a range of educational and developmental issues. These include: learning difficulties, dyslexia, ADHD and other behavioural issues.

As an expert in dyslexia, I have remediated numerous students using the Multisensory Structured Learning (MSL) and Orton Gillingham approaches. Through my career I have provided training to kinder, primary and secondary teachers.

My strong passion for teaching is the reason I maintain that all students should be afforded the opportunity to develop their mathematical abilities. My vast knowledge of the developmental stages in numeracy ensures that students will experience success with my personalised approach. I firmly believe that working with teaching aids (manipulatives) and developing strong foundational skills, are a critical part of facilitating a student’s understanding of math concepts. 

As a certified Feuerstein Mediator, I share the belief of the program which is based on the idea that intelligence is modifiable not fixed. By enhancing the cognitive skills of students, they are more equipped to adapt to the learning challenges of the classroom environment.

I am a strong advocate for families of children that have learning issues and am a valuable support to parents.
